These works animate an ecological re-reading of scripture and re-contextualize the ancient stories to reveal how they speak to our current environmental and cultural crises. Working with each of the four elements, we look at the places within scripture where the voice of God and the transformation of the people was inextricably tied to Water, Earth, Fire and Air.
Jay and Tevyn have songs, prayers, poems, communal chants and movement offerings that can be inserted into various parts of a service. They bring cross cultural, deeply embodied, ritualistic elements that resensitize communities to the gifts and groans of creation and the call for solidarity with the oppressed.
Teaching / Workshops
Jay and Tevyn love to teach- sharing their passions and skill-sets with the young and old, the religious and secular, the newcomers to justice movements as well as seasoned peace-nicks. These classes and workshop are perfect supplemental offerings to worship offerings or ceremonial theater!
